Job Summary
UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Senior AI/ML Software Engineer to join its remote team, based in Atlanta, Fulton County, US. This role focuses on designing and deploying advanced machine‑learning solutions that improve health outcomes for millions of people.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end‑to‑end development of AI and machine‑learning models, from data ingestion to production deployment.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including data scientists, product managers, and clinicians—to translate clinical needs into scalable technical solutions.
- Design, implement, and maintain robust, secure, and high‑performance software pipelines on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote best practices in AI/ML development.
- Stay current with emerging AI technologies and evaluate their applicability to UnitedHealth’s health‑care products.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on AI/ML.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++ and deep‑learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Strong background in data engineering, model training, hyper‑parameter tuning, and model monitoring.
- Experience with cloud services (AWS Sage‑Maker, Azure ML, or Google AI Platform) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Experience in healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR) and regulatory compliance (HIPAA).
- Knowledge of DevOps/CI‑CD pipelines for AI/ML.
Compensation & Benefits
