About This Position
ESS is seeking a Seasonal Onboard Supervisor for its Alaska Railroad operations in Anchorage, Alaska. This full‑time seasonal role offers a pay rate of $18‑$20 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily onboard food service operations and ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
- Manage a team of food service staff, schedule shifts, and conduct performance coaching.
- Monitor inventory, place orders, and maintain proper storage conditions.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to uphold Certified Food Protection Manager standards.
- Coordinate with train crew and rail management to ensure smooth service delivery.
Requirements
- Alaska TIPS/TAPS Card (mandatory).
- Certified Food Protection Manager certification.
- Previous supervisory experience in a food service or hospitality setting, preferably in a mobile or transportation environment.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work rotating 3‑day on/2‑day off schedules and up to 14‑hour shifts.

Seasonal schedule with rotating 3‑days on, 2‑days off. Shifts may extend up to 14 hours. Pay ranges from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, based on experience.
