Junior ServiceNow Developer
About This Position
GovCIO is seeking a Junior ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, and maintain mission‑enabling applications for the U.S. Coast Guard. This fully remote role is based out of Archer, Laramie County, Wyoming.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior developers and product owners to create functional ServiceNow applications and automated workflows.
- Follow the Software Lifecycle Management Plan (SLMP) to ensure code quality, testing, and documentation.
- Assist in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving incidents within the ServiceNow platform.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospective meetings.
- Maintain and update technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and user guides.
- Support integration efforts with other IT systems and third‑party APIs.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Basic knowledge of ServiceNow development (client scripts, UI policies, business rules, and workflow).
- Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and RESTful APIs.
- Understanding of ITIL concepts and service management best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while adhering to security guidelines.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ServiceNow Application Builder, Flow Designer, or IntegrationHub.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Security clearance eligibility for U.S. government contracts.
Compensation & Benefits
