Job Summary
Archer Daniels Midland is seeking a Logistics Coordinator for its ADM Logistics division in Decatur, Macon County, US. This non‑exempt role serves as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts, ensuring daily transportation needs are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main liaison between customers and the internal customer service team.
- Manage day‑to‑day logistics operations for assigned accounts, including order entry, shipment scheduling, and tracking.
- Coordinate with carriers, warehouses, and internal departments to resolve any delivery issues.
- Support Sales Managers with onboarding new customers, setting up system profiles, and establishing service standards.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on‑time delivery, freight cost variance, and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, reports, and logs for all shipments.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.
- 1‑2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or customer service.
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
