About the Role

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Designer to conceptualize, develop, and refine mechanical components and systems for a diverse portfolio of products. Working entirely remotely, you will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and manufacturers across the United States to turn sketches into production‑ready models. Your role will blend creativity with precision, ensuring that every design meets performance, cost, and regulatory standards while accelerating time‑to‑market.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D CAD models using SolidWorks, CATIA, or comparable tools.
• Develop engineering drawings, bill of materials, and manufacturing specifications.
• Perform finite element analysis and stress testing to validate design integrity.
• Coordinate prototype builds and iterate designs based on testing feedback.
• Document design processes and maintain version control in a remote environment.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in mechanical design, preferably in manufacturing or product development.
• Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, Autodesk Inventor) and FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus).
• Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and GD&T principles.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a distributed team.

Preferred Skills

Experience with rapid prototyping, rapid control prototyping (RCP), or additive manufacturing is a plus. Familiarity with PLM systems such as Teamcenter or Windchill enhances collaboration efficiency.
