About the Role

As a Venture Partner at Aurora Ventures, you will act as a senior liaison between the firm and entrepreneurial ecosystems worldwide. Your primary mission is to identify high‑potential startups, evaluate investment opportunities, and provide strategic guidance that accelerates growth. Working remotely, you’ll collaborate with a global team of investors, analysts, and industry experts, leveraging Aurora’s extensive network to source deals and drive value creation.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute a sourcing strategy that expands Aurora’s deal pipeline across diverse sectors. Conduct rigorous due diligence, including market analysis, financial modeling, and competitive assessments. Lead investment committee presentations and articulate investment theses to senior leadership. Mentor portfolio companies on governance, scaling strategies, and fundraising. Represent Aurora at virtual conferences, demo days, and industry events to build brand visibility. Maintain a robust network of founders, limited partners, and strategic partners to ensure a continuous flow of high‑quality opportunities.

Requirements

Proven experience in venture capital, private equity, or corporate development, preferably with a track record of successful investments. Deep expertise in at least one of the following domains: artificial intelligence, biotechnology, clean energy, or next‑generation hardware. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and market research. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, capable of building trust with founders and stakeholders. Self‑motivation and discipline to thrive in a remote, results‑driven environment. A bachelor’s degree in business, economics, engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree or MBA is a plus.

Preferred Experience

5+ years of hands‑on venture investing, with a focus on early‑stage companies. Prior experience as a founder, operator, or senior strategist in a high‑growth startup.
