About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Manager to lead our organization’s safety initiatives in a fully remote capacity. In this pivotal role, you will develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs that ensure regulatory compliance, minimize risk, and foster a proactive safety culture. You’ll collaborate closely with operations, HR, and field personnel to deliver training, conduct audits, and analyze incident data—all while working remotely from your home office.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in OSHA standards, risk assessment methodologies, and worker protection protocols. You’ll serve as the primary point of contact for all safety-related matters, providing strategic guidance to leadership and hands-on support to teams across multiple locations. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise-wide safety policies aligned with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory frameworks.
• Conduct virtual and on-site safety audits to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Design and deliver engaging safety training programs using digital platforms and learning management systems.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses, producing detailed reports with actionable insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety into daily operations and project planning.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare executive dashboards to track safety trends.
• Provide expert consultation during new facility launches, process changes, and emergency response planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Health, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in safety management, preferably within construction, manufacturing, or industrial services.
• Current CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, ANSI standards, and federal safety guidelines.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects, analyze data, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with safety software tools (e.g., iAuditor, EHS Insight).
• Self-motivated individual capable of managing priorities independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading safety programs in union or multi-state environments.
• Background in behavior-based safety (BBS) or Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
• Familiarity with drone inspections, wearable technology, or digital safety monitoring tools.

Salary Range

$75,000 – $95,000 USD/year
