Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this position is $72,000 to $98,000 USD per year, commensurate with your experience, advanced credentials, and performance. About the Role

As a Remote Registered Nurse – ICU, you will play a vital role in our tele-ICU program, providing specialized critical care support to patients in partner hospitals. This is a unique opportunity to utilize your advanced nursing skills in a remote setting, collaborating with on-site medical teams to deliver high-quality, real-time critical care. You will be at the forefront of telemedicine, leveraging technology to monitor and manage critically ill patients across multiple healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess critical care patients via remote telehealth systems, real-time video feeds, and digital monitoring devices.
• Collaborate closely with on-site doctors, nurses, and respiratory therapists to develop and implement individualized, evidence-based care plans.
• Respond promptly to critical alerts, alarms, and changes in patient status, providing immediate clinical guidance and intervention recommendations.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately and comprehensively in electronic health records (EHR).
• Administer medications, adjust ventilator settings, and manage hemodynamic monitoring under physician protocols and standing orders.
• Provide patient and family education on critical care procedures, treatment options, and post-discharge care planning.

Requirements

To succeed in this remote ICU nursing role, you must possess a strong clinical background, the necessary credentials, and the technical proficiency required for telehealth environments.

Qualifications & Licensure:

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida (or compact state if applicable).
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on, progressive care or adult Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Certified Critical Care Nurse (CCRN) certification or equivalent critical care credential is highly preferred.

Technical & Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex medical information clearly, calmly, and compassionately under pressure.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to manage dynamic, life-threatening critical care scenarios remotely.
• Proficiency with telehealth platforms, electronic medical records (EMR) systems, and critical care monitoring equipment.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain high standards of patient safety in a remote, self-directed environment.
