Remote Quantitative Researcher – Work From Home & Build Cutting-Edge Trading Models

We’re hiring a brilliant Quantitative Researcher to join a fast-paced, innovation-driven team 100% remotely. If you thrive on turning complex data into profitable trading strategies and want the freedom to work from anywhere, this role was built for you. Competitive compensation, flexible hours, and a culture that rewards curiosity.

About the Role

As a Quantitative Researcher on our team, you will play a central role in developing, testing, and refining mathematical models that drive real-time trading decisions. This is not a traditional desk job — it’s an intellectually demanding, creatively rewarding position where your research directly impacts portfolio performance.

You’ll work alongside world-class engineers, data scientists, and traders in a fully remote environment that values deep thinking, rapid experimentation, and continuous learning. Every model you build has the potential to move markets.

What You’ll Be Doing

 • Research and develop alpha signals using statistical modeling, machine learning, and econometric techniques.
 • Design and backtest quantitative trading strategies across equities, futures, and alternative datasets.
 • Collaborate with engineers to deploy research into production-grade trading systems.
 • Analyze large-scale financial datasets to uncover non-obvious patterns and market inefficiencies.
 • Present research findings and strategy recommendations to senior leadership and portfolio managers.
 • Stay ahead of industry trends by reading academic papers, attending conferences, and experimenting with novel approaches.

Requirements

Must-Have Qualifications

 • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
 • 3+ years of experience in quantitative research, algorithmic trading, data science, or a closely related field.
 • Strong proficiency in Python and/or C++, with experience in data analysis libraries such as NumPy, pandas, and scikit-learn.
 • Solid understanding of probability, statistics, time-series analysis, and stochastic processes.
 • Experience with backtesting frameworks and financial data sources (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Quandl, or tick-level data).
 • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
 • Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex ideas clearly.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

 • Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or XGBoost applied to financial problems.
 • Familiarity with high-frequency trading concepts or market microstructure theory.
 • Publications in peer-reviewed journals or top-tier conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, QFC, etc.).
 • Experience working with cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for large-scale data processing.

Salary Range

$150,000 – $250,000 USD/year

Base salary is determined by experience, qualifications, and location of residence. Annual performance bonuses and equity participation are also available depending on role level and contribution.

Benefits

Compensation & Financial Perks

 • Highly competitive base salary with annual performance bonuses.
 • Equity or profit-sharing participation for senior-level hires.
 • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance for you and your family.
 • 401(k) retirement plan with generous employer matching.

Work-Life & Growth

 • 100% remote — work from anywhere with a reliable internet connection.
 • Flexible working hours designed for deep-focus research sessions.
 • Annual learning and development stipend for courses, certifications, and conferences.
 • Home office setup allowance to create your ideal productive workspace.
 • Generous paid time off, including vacation, sick days, and mental health days.

Culture & Community

 • Collaborative, flat team structure where every voice matters.
 • Regular virtual team events, hackathons, and research paper reading groups.
 • Mentorship from senior researchers and quants with decades of combined experience.

Why Work With Us?

This isn’t just another remote job — it’s an opportunity to sit at the intersection of finance, mathematics, and technology with real ownership over your research. We believe the best ideas come from people who are given the freedom to explore, fail, and iterate. Our fully distributed team spans multiple time zones, and we’ve built a culture rooted in trust, transparency, and intellectual ambition.

If you’re passionate about uncovering hidden signals in data and want to do meaningful work without the constraints of a traditional office, we’d love to hear from you.

Ready to Make the Move?

If this role excites you, we encourage you to submit your resume, a brief cover letter, and any relevant research or project portfolio that showcases your quantitative skills. We review every application personally and are committed to finding the right fit — not just the fastest one.
