About the Role

As a Remote Physician Assistant, you will function as a key extension of our medical team, managing a virtual patient panel and delivering comprehensive primary or specialty care. Your days will involve conducting detailed video consultations, interpreting patient histories and symptoms, formulating accurate diagnoses, and developing personalized treatment plans—all from your secure home workspace. You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and specialists in a digital-first environment, utilizing cutting-edge EHR and telehealth platforms to ensure seamless, HIPAA-compliant patient interactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform virtual patient assessments, including medical history taking and physical examinations via video.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests as needed.
• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans in accordance with state regulations and collaborative agreements.
• Provide patient education, preventive care counseling, and chronic disease management support.
• Maintain meticulous, timely documentation within our electronic health record system.
• Participate in virtual team huddles, case reviews, and ongoing quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Education & Licensure

• Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Active, unrestricted PA license in good standing. Ability to obtain licenses in multiple states is a significant advantage.
• National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, with at least 1 year in a telehealth or virtual care setting strongly preferred.

Technical Proficiency & Soft Skills

• Demonstrated proficiency with telehealth platforms (e.g., Zoom for Healthcare, Doxy.me, Amwell) and major EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear, empathetic virtual interactions.
• Self-motivated with exceptional time-management and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Commitment to patient privacy and security, with a reliable, private home office space meeting all technical requirements (high-speed internet, quiet environment).

Salary Range

$115,000 – $155,000 USD/year
