About the Role

As our Remote Financial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our financial strategy and ensuring optimal resource allocation across all departments. You’ll oversee comprehensive financial planning and analysis, manage month-end and year-end closing processes, and develop forecasting models that drive informed business decisions. This position reports directly to the VP of Finance and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams including operations, sales, and technology.

Your responsibilities will include preparing detailed financial reports and presentations for executive review, conducting variance analysis between actual results and budgeted figures, and identifying opportunities for cost optimization without compromising operational efficiency. You’ll also mentor junior finance staff, establish best practices for financial controls, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models for strategic planning and decision-making
• Lead annual budgeting process in collaboration with department heads and executive management
• Prepare monthly financial statements and performance dashboards with actionable insights
• Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
• Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital optimization initiatives
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP standards
• Collaborate with external auditors during annual audit processes and quarterly reviews
• Implement and enhance financial controls and procedures to strengthen internal processes

Requirements

To succeed in this remote Financial Manager position, you should possess a strong educational background in finance or accounting along with substantial relevant experience. A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is required, with an MBA or advanced degree being highly preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
• Minimum 5 years of progressive financial management experience in corporate environments

Salary Range

$85,000 – $115,000 USD/year
