About the Role

As the Financial Manager, you will lead the monthly close process, prepare accurate financial statements, and develop forecasting models that inform executive strategy. The position also involves mentoring junior finance staff and streamlining reporting workflows through automation and ERP enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the end‑to‑monthly close, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain rolling forecasts, budgets, and long‑term financial plans.
• Perform variance analysis and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal audit requirements.
• Lead process improvement initiatives, including automation of journal entries and dashboard reporting.
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and investment activities.
• Supervise and develop a team of 2‑3 accountants or analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or CFA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Strong expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to translate complex data into clear business recommendations.
• Proven track record of process improvement and automation.
• Excellent communication skills; comfortable presenting to executives and stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in a remote, self‑directed environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with SaaS revenue recognition (ASC 606), familiarity with financial planning & analysis tools such as Adaptive Insights or Anaplan, and exposure to international tax considerations are advantageous. Candidates who have led finance teams through a Series B or C funding round will be especially valued.

Salary Range

Based on industry standards for a remote Financial Manager in the United States, the expected compensation is $90,000 – $120,000 USD per year, plus performance bonuses and equity options.
