About the Role

As a Remote Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with developmental disabilities to live fulfilling, independent lives. This position offers the unique opportunity to provide meaningful support through telehealth platforms, phone consultations, and virtual coaching sessions—all from your home workspace.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct virtual one-on-one sessions with individuals receiving support services
• Develop and implement personalized support plans tailored to each individual’s goals
• Provide advocacy and guidance to help clients navigate community resources
• Monitor client progress and document outcomes using our digital case management system
• Collaborate with families, healthcare providers, and interdisciplinary teams
• Offer emotional support and crisis intervention via remote communication tools
• Assist with skill-building activities including daily living, social skills, and employment readiness

Salary Range

$35,000 – $55,000 USD/year (commensurate with experience and qualifications)

Additional earning opportunities available through overtime, bonuses, and shift differentials.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor’s degree in human services, psychology, social work, or related field preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or special needs
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with technology and comfort using telehealth platforms
• Excellent active listening and empathy skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
• Self-motivated with strong time management abilities
• Reliable high-speed internet connection and appropriate home office setup

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Direct Support Professional (CDSP) credential
• Previous experience in remote or telehealth support roles
• Knowledge of person-centered planning approaches
• Familiarity with behavioral support strategies
• Bilingual capabilities (Spanish is a plus)
