Are you a logistics expert with a passion for precision and efficiency? We are seeking a high-energy Remote Freight, Stock, and Material Mover Coordinator to streamline our supply chain operations and optimize inventory flow from the comfort of your home office.
Salary Range
$48,000 – $62,000 USD per year (Depending on experience and certifications)
About the Role
While traditional material moving happens on a warehouse floor, the modern supply chain is driven by digital orchestration. As a Remote Freight, Stock, and Material Mover Coordinator at Global Logistics Pro, you will be the “digital brain” behind the physical movement of goods. You won’t be lifting boxes; instead, you will be lifting the efficiency of our entire distribution network.
Your primary mission is to oversee the strategic movement of freight, manage stock levels across multiple hubs, and coordinate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure that materials arrive exactly where they need to be, exactly when they are needed. You will utilize advanced Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP software to track shipments in real-time, resolve bottlenecks, and optimize routing to reduce costs and carbon footprints.
Key Responsibilities
Freight & Shipment Orchestration
- Coordinate the scheduling and dispatching of freight carriers to ensure timely pickup and delivery of materials.
- Monitor transit times and proactively communicate delays to stakeholders to maintain seamless production schedules.
- Audit shipping manifests and bills of lading for 100% accuracy.
Stock & Inventory Optimization
- Analyze stock levels across various remote warehouses to prevent overstocking or critical shortages.
- Manage digital inventory transfers, ensuring that material moves are recorded accurately in the system.
- Conduct virtual audits of stock counts and reconcile discrepancies with on-site personnel.
Material Flow Management
- Develop optimized material movement plans to streamline the flow from receiving to shipping.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to align incoming freight with current storage capacity.
- Implement lean logistics principles to eliminate waste in the supply chain process.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years in logistics, supply chain management, or freight coordination.
- Technical Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data sets to predict stock needs and optimize freight routes.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with international carriers and internal teams.
- Home Office Setup: A reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated, quiet workspace.
- Education: High School Diploma required; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management is highly preferred.
