About the Role

We are looking for a hands‑on Datacenter Technician who thrives in a fully remote setting while collaborating closely with on‑site rack‑and‑stack teams via secure remote‑management tools. You will be responsible for hardware provisioning, firmware updates, cable management audits, and rapid incident response across multiple data‑center locations. This position offers the autonomy to design your own workflow, the support of a 24/7 NOC, and a clear path to senior infrastructure engineering roles.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform remote server provisioning, BIOS/UEFI configuration, and OS installation using IPMI, iDRAC, and Redfish APIs.
• Monitor hardware health dashboards (temperature, power, disk SMART) and execute preventive maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate with onsite technicians for physical tasks such as drive swaps, cable re‑routing, and rack‑level power cycling.
• Document all changes in the CMDB, maintain runbooks, and contribute to automation scripts (Python, Ansible).
• Participate in on‑call rotation (one week per month) with a 15‑minute response SLA for critical alerts.

Requirements

Must‑Have

• 2+ years of hands‑on experience with rack‑mount servers (Dell PowerEdge, HPE ProLiant, Supermicro).
• Proficiency with out‑of‑band management interfaces (IPMI, iDRAC, iLO, Redfish).
• Solid Linux fundamentals (RHEL/CentOS, Ubuntu) – comfortable with shell scripting, systemd, and package management.
• Understanding of networking basics: VLANs, trunking, LACP, and basic switch CLI (Cisco/Arista).
• Strong written communication for ticket updates, runbooks, and cross‑team handovers.

Salary Range
