About the Role
In this fully remote position, you will partner with product, security, and operations teams to design, implement, and optimize cloud infrastructures across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. You’ll own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of cloud solutions—from initial assessment and architecture blueprints to migration planning, performance tuning, and governance. Key Responsibilities
- Architect and evolve multi‑cloud strategies that support high‑availability, disaster recovery, and compliance requirements.
- Create detailed architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and migration roadmaps for stakeholders.
- Evaluate emerging cloud services and recommend adoption paths that optimize cost, performance, and security.
- Collaborate with DevOps to implement IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines that enable rapid, safe deployments.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to cloud engineers, conducting design reviews and knowledge‑sharing sessions.
- Monitor cloud spend, identify optimization opportunities, and enforce governance policies to maintain budget compliance.
- Lead incident response efforts related to cloud infrastructure, ensuring rapid resolution and post‑mortem analysis.
Requirements
Technical Skills
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience designing and managing cloud infrastructures on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Deep expertise in networking (VPC, subnets, load balancing, DNS), storage (object, block, file), and compute services (EC2, VMs, containers, serverless).
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Pulumi, AWS CDK) and configuration management (Ansible, Chef).
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles, IAM, encryption, and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR).
- Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS/EKS) and service mesh technologies.
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch).
- Solid scripting abilities in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation tasks.
Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Proven track record of delivering large‑scale cloud migrations or greenfield projects.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to translate technical concepts for executive and non‑technical audiences.
- Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect are highly preferred.
