About the Role

As a Remote Civil Engineer, you will own the full project lifecycle from conceptual design through construction support. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, leverage cutting‑edge BIM tools, and ensure every deliverable meets strict regulatory standards—without ever stepping into a physical office.

What You’ll Do

Project Planning & Design

Develop site grading, drainage, roadway, and utility plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit. Produce construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates that align with client budgets and sustainability goals.

Site Analysis & Compliance

Conduct geotechnical assessments, hydrologic modeling, and environmental impact reviews. Navigate federal, state, and local permitting processes to keep projects on schedule and in compliance.

Collaboration & Reporting

Lead virtual design coordination meetings with architects, structural engineers, and contractors. Deliver clear, data‑driven progress reports to stakeholders and mentor junior engineers through remote pair‑programming sessions.

Requirements

Education & Licensure

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (ABET‑accredited). Professional Engineer (PE) license in at least one U.S. state, or a clear path to licensure within 12 months.

Technical Proficiency

Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and GIS platforms. Proven experience with stormwater management (HEC‑RAS, SWMM), pavement design (AASHTO), and construction administration.

Soft Skills

Exceptional written and verbal communication for remote collaboration. Strong time‑management, self‑direction, and the ability to prioritize multiple projects across time zones.

Salary Range

$85,000 – $115,000 USD/year (commensurate with experience, certifications, and geographic differential)
