About the Role

As a Remote Artificial Intelligence Researcher, you will design novel machine learning models, publish peer-reviewed findings, and collaborate with a distributed team of engineers and scientists. You will own research threads end to end—from hypothesis to deployment—while working asynchronously with colleagues in multiple time zones.

What You Will Do

• Develop and evaluate new algorithms in deep learning, reinforcement learning, or generative AI.
• Write clear, reproducible research code and share results in internal journals and top conferences.
• Mentor junior researchers and contribute to our open-source AI tooling.
• Partner with product teams to translate research into shipped features used by millions.

Requirements

We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds who meet most of the following criteria:

• PhD or equivalent experience in computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
• Strong publication record or demonstrable open-source research in AI/ML.
• Proficiency in Python and frameworks such as PyTorch or JAX.
• Excellent written communication skills for remote async collaboration.

Salary Range

Based on current industry standards for remote AI research roles in the United States, we offer a competitive compensation package:

$140,000 – $210,000 USD/year, depending on experience, research impact, and location within the US. Additional equity and annual research budgets are provided.
