About the Role

As a Remote Cybersecurity Specialist, you will be the frontline defender of our clients’ infrastructure, applications, and data. You will conduct threat assessments, manage vulnerability remediation, and develop incident response playbooks that keep businesses resilient against evolving cyber threats. The position is fully remote, allowing you to work from any location with a stable internet connection.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform continuous security monitoring and log analysis across cloud, on‑premise, and hybrid environments.
• Design and enforce security policies, standards, and baselines aligned with NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS benchmarks.
• Lead vulnerability scanning, penetration testing coordination, and remediation tracking.
• Develop and maintain incident response plans; act as primary escalation point during security events.
• Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to embed security into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps).
• Provide security awareness training and phishing simulations for client staff.
• Stay current on emerging threats, zero‑day exploits, and regulatory changes; advise leadership on risk posture.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 4 years of hands‑on cybersecurity experience in a remote or distributed team setting.
• Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, Elastic, Microsoft Sentinel) and endpoint detection & response (EDR) tools.
• Strong scripting ability in Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation and log parsing.
• Deep knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, Zero Trust architecture, and cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, OSCP, or Cloud Security (CCSP, AWS Security Specialty) are highly valued.
