The Hartford is seeking a Vocational Case Manager in Archer, Laramie County, US. This full‑time role supports individuals navigating disability claims, helping them return to work while managing case documentation and coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive vocational assessments to determine work readiness and suitable job placements.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized return‑to‑work plans aligned with medical recommendations.
- Coordinate with medical providers, insurers, and employers to gather necessary documentation and facilitate claim resolution.
- Maintain accurate case files in the company’s claims management system, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Provide counseling and resources to claimants on workplace accommodations, skill development, and job search strategies.
- Track and report key performance metrics, such as claim closure rates and return‑to‑work timelines.
- Collaborate with the Group Disability Claims team to identify trends and improve case management processes.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Human Services, Occupational Therapy, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 2 years experience in vocational or clinical case management, preferably within insurance or workers’ compensation.
- Strong knowledge of ADA, FMLA, and state disability statutes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel locally to meet claimants and employers as needed.
Compensation & Benefits
