Greenhills School is hiring a full‑time Technical Theater Director and AV Coordinator for the 2026‑2027 academic year in Dixboro, Washtenaw County, US. This exempt teaching faculty role combines classroom instruction with hands‑on management of theater and audiovisual spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver a rigorous, student‑centered technical theater curriculum for Upper School students.
- Plan, design, and execute set construction, lighting, sound, and video projects for school productions.
- Maintain and troubleshoot all theater and AV equipment to ensure a safe, functional environment.
- Coordinate schedules, rehearsals, and technical rehearsals, often requiring evenings and weekends.
- Collaborate with the Fine and Performing Arts Department Chair, Upper School Head, and faculty to integrate technical elements into the broader arts program.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Theater, Production Design, Audio‑Visual Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in technical theater, stagecraft, or AV coordination, preferably in an educational setting.
- Proficiency with lighting consoles, sound boards, video projection systems, and CAD/design software.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to support productions.
