About This Position
Job Summary
River’s Edge Hospital & Clinic is seeking a Surgical Services Nurse Manager in Saint Peter, Nicollet County, MN. Lead peri‑operative teams and ensure high‑quality patient care across pre‑operative, intra‑operative and PACU areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and supervision to nursing staff in the Surgical Services department.
- Coordinate scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation for operating rooms, pre‑op, and PACU.
- Develop, implement, and monitor clinical protocols to maintain patient safety and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee patient flow, ensuring timely preparation, surgery, and recovery.
- Conduct performance evaluations, mentorship, and continuing education for nursing personnel.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and hospital administration on quality improvement initiatives.
- Manage budgets, supply inventories, and equipment maintenance for the surgical suite.
- Analyze patient outcome data and generate reports for accreditation bodies.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in Minnesota.
- Minimum 5 years peri‑operative nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field; Master’s preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical asepsis, infection control, and peri‑operative standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems and surgical scheduling software.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $49,605.84 per year.
