About This Position
New Leaf Energy is hiring a Structured Finance Associate for its Power Plants division, based in Lowell, Middlesex County, US. This hybrid role offers a competitive salary between $104,430 and $121,120 and requires on‑site collaboration at least two days a week.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and analyze complex financial models for independent power projects.
- Support the structuring, negotiation, and execution of debt and equity transactions.
- Prepare detailed credit memos, investor presentations, and transaction documentation.
- Coordinate with legal, tax, and operations teams to ensure compliance and timely closing.
- Monitor portfolio performance, covenant compliance, and reporting requirements.
- Assist senior staff with market research, risk assessments, and benchmarking studies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- 2‑4 years of experience in structured finance, project finance, or investment banking, preferably in the energy sector.
- Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel/financial modeling capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Willingness to work on‑site in Lowell at least two days per week (Tuesday‑Thursday).
