About This Position
Delta Utilities Services, LLC is hiring a Specialist, Engineer (Gas) in Shreveport, Caddo Parish, USA. This role designs and manages natural gas distribution and transmission projects from concept through completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Create basic and intermediate designs for natural gas distribution and transmission systems.
- Manage small‑to‑medium projects, including planning, specifications, permitting, and contract administration.
- Design new pipelines or relocate existing facilities while ensuring compliance with industry standards and local regulations.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, calculations, and technical reports.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, contractors, and utility partners to ensure project milestones are met.
- Support field operations with technical expertise during construction and commissioning phases.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Associate Specialist or higher level in Engineering – Gas preferred, based on candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Petroleum Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 2‑3 years experience in natural gas pipeline design or utility engineering.
- Proficiency with CAD/AutoCAD, GIS, and pipeline design software.
- Understanding of ASME, API, and OSHA safety standards.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
Compensation
Annual salary: $63,069 (fixed). Additional benefits include health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
