Job Summary
RTX is seeking a Software Engineer II for its onsite team in West Valley City, Utah, United States. This full‑time role supports critical defense projects and requires a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain high‑performance software for aerospace and defense systems.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional engineers, analysts, and program managers to define requirements and deliver solutions.
- Write clean, secure, and well‑documented code following RTX standards and industry best practices.
- Perform code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing to ensure mission‑critical reliability.
- Support troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and corrective actions for fielded software.
- Maintain configuration management and adhere to strict security protocols.
Qualifications
- U.S. citizen or U.S. person with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field; 2+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in C/C++, Python, or Java and experience with embedded systems.
- Familiarity with real‑time operating systems, networking protocols, and secure coding practices.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, teamwork orientation, and excellent written/oral communication.
