About This Position
Jobgether is seeking a passionate Community Manager (Video Games) to join a global gaming team in Canada. In this role you will shape, nurture and grow online player communities across multiple social platforms, acting as the voice of the player.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute community engagement strategies for multiple game titles.
- Monitor, moderate and respond to player conversations on Discord, Reddit, Twitter, Facebook and in‑game forums.
- Gather player feedback, identify trends and relay insights to product, QA and marketing teams.
- Organise community events, live streams, contests and beta‑testing programs.
- Create and schedule compelling content such as memes, videos, newsletters and FAQs.
- Collaborate with influencers, streamers and content creators to amplify brand reach.
- Track community metrics (sentiment, growth, churn) and produce regular performance reports.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years experience managing online communities for video games or entertainment brands.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; fluency in another language is a plus.
- Deep understanding of gaming culture, trends and major platforms (Discord, Twitch, Reddit, Steam).
- Proven ability to handle conflict, de‑escalate situations and maintain a positive environment.
- Experience with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Sprout Social, Tableau) and community management software.
- Passion for video games and a player‑first mindset.
