Job Summary

Merck is seeking a Senior Specialist, Planning & Scheduling (Onsite) at its Rahway, Union County, NJ facility. This role supports clinical supply packaging and distribution operations, collaborating with global stakeholders to drive innovative supply chain initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and optimize planning and scheduling activities for clinical supply manufacturing and distribution.
• Partner with Global Clinical Supply (GCS) teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure on‑time delivery of clinical materials.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, capacity plans, and inventory forecasts.
• Identify bottlenecks, propose process improvements, and implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Support regulatory compliance and documentation for all supply chain activities.
• Generate regular performance metrics and reports for senior leadership.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Life Sciences or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in clinical supply planning, scheduling, or operations management.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in MS Excel, SAP, and scheduling tools.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Knowledge of FDA/EMA regulations for clinical materials is preferred.

Compensation

Salary: $134,305.56 per year.
