Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and modernize claims applications on both legacy and cloud‑native platforms.
• Design, implement and maintain RESTful APIs and micro‑service architectures.
• Write clean, test‑driven Java code using Spring Boot, Hibernate and related frameworks.
• Collaborate with product owners, QA, DevOps and UI/UX teams to ensure high‑performance delivery.
• Participate in code reviews, performance tuning and security hardening.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment (AWS/Azure).
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best‑practice engineering standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong expertise in Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices and relational databases.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in front‑end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React) for full‑stack delivery.
• Understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI) and version control (Git).
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with claims or insurance systems.
• Knowledge of security standards (OAuth2, JWT, OWASP).
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and Scrum.
