Senior Process Analyst

GovCIO is seeking a Senior Process Analyst to join its remote team supporting mission‑critical applications for the U.S. Coast Guard. This fully remote role is based out of Glendale, Denver, US and offers a salary of $83,542.66.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain functional applications and automated workflows following the Software Lifecycle Management Plan (SLMP).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Lead process‑improvement initiatives, identify bottlenecks, and implement efficient solutions.
• Conduct system analysis, testing, and validation to ensure high‑quality deliverables.
• Provide mentorship to junior analysts and serve as a subject‑matter expert on process architecture.
• Prepare documentation, status reports, and presentations for senior leadership and client partners.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in process analysis, business analysis, or systems engineering, preferably within federal or defense environments.
• Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Proficiency with workflow automation tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Power Automate) and modeling languages such as BPMN or UML.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance.

Preferred Experience

• Experience supporting maritime or Coast Guard operations.
• Familiarity with ITIL, ISO 9001, or CMMI process frameworks.
• Certifications such as CBAP, PMP, or ITIL Practitioner.
