Senior Process Analyst

GovCIO is seeking a Senior Process Analyst to support the U.S. Coast Guard in designing, developing, and maintaining mission‑enabling applications. This fully remote role is based out of Wyoming, Kent County, US, with a fixed annual salary of $89,457.58.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive rapid delivery of functional applications and automated workflows following the Software Lifecycle Management Plan (SLMP).
• Analyze, document, and optimize business processes to improve efficiency and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including developers, project managers, and stakeholders, to translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Develop process models, use‑case diagrams, and workflow diagrams using industry‑standard tools.
• Conduct gap analysis, identify risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Provide mentorship to junior analysts and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in process analysis, business analysis, or systems engineering, preferably within a federal or defense environment.
• Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Proficiency with process‑mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart) and requirements‑management platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce clear documentation for technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Security clearance eligibility for United States Secret.

Preferred Experience

• Experience supporting maritime or Coast Guard operations.
• Familiarity with ITIL, COBIT, or other governance frameworks.
• Certifications such as CBAP, PMP, or ITIL Practitioner.
