Job Summary

Ochsner Health System is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in Pediatrics for the CVICU/PICU unit at the OMC location on Jeff Highway in New Orleans, Orleans Parish. This role offers a competitive annual salary of $191,852.86.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality, evidence‑based nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, respiratory therapists, and child life specialists to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Monitor patient vitals, administer medications, manage advanced life‑support equipment, and document all interventions accurately.
• Educate patients, families, and staff on care procedures, discharge planning, and health promotion.
• Participate in unit quality improvement initiatives, safety rounds, and continuing education programs.
• Maintain compliance with Ochsner policies, state regulations, and Joint Commission standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Current RN license in Louisiana (or compact license) with active BLS and PALS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in pediatric critical care (CVICU or PICU preferred).
• BSN preferred; ADN with relevant experience considered.
