NavitasPartners is hiring a Responsible AI Governance Lead for Enterprise AI Platforms, based in Ottawa, Ottawa region, Canada. This full‑time contract role focuses on building ethical, compliant AI frameworks for large‑scale data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement and continuously improve Responsible AI frameworks and governance models across enterprise AI initiatives.
• Collaborate with data engineers, product owners and legal teams to ensure AI solutions meet regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, Canada’s AI Directive).
• Conduct risk assessments, bias audits and model explainability reviews for all AI deployments.
• Develop and deliver training, policies and best‑practice documentation for AI ethics and governance.
• Monitor AI performance, flag compliance issues and drive remediation actions.
• Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors and regulatory bodies.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in AI/ML governance, ethical AI, or related compliance roles.
• Strong understanding of AI regulations in North America and experience applying them in enterprise settings.
• Proven track record designing governance frameworks for large data platforms.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts to business and legal stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Law, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
