About This Position
Job Summary
NavitasPartners is hiring a Responsible AI Governance Lead – Enterprise AI Platforms to work remotely or on‑site in Toronto, Ontario. This contract/full‑time role focuses on building ethical, compliant AI frameworks for enterprise data platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement and continuously improve Responsible AI policies, governance models and risk‑assessment processes.
- Collaborate with data engineers, product owners and legal teams to ensure AI solutions meet regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, Canada’s AI Directive).
- Conduct model audits, bias testing, and impact assessments across the organization’s AI portfolio.
- Develop training and documentation to embed responsible AI practices into daily workflows.
- Monitor emerging AI regulations and advise senior leadership on compliance strategies.
- Lead cross‑functional governance committees and report on AI performance, ethical metrics, and remediation actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Ethics, Law or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in AI governance, responsible AI, or risk management within large enterprises.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML lifecycle, model interpretability, bias mitigation, and data privacy.
- Familiarity with Canadian and US AI regulatory frameworks and industry standards.
- Excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts for business and legal stakeholders.
- Experience with AI governance tools, model‑card documentation, and audit pipelines.
