RES eVA Cyber Security Associate (Remote)

GovCIO is seeking a RES eVA Cyber Security Associate to work remotely from anywhere in the United States, supporting the eVA Authority to Operation (ATO) process for a federal client.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ATO documentation, including System Security Plans (SSP) control narratives, risk assessment inputs, Incident Response Plans (IRP), and configuration management artifacts.
• Update and manage daily entries in the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS), including POA&M edits and control evidence submissions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure compliance with DoD and federal cybersecurity standards.
• Assist in vulnerability assessments, remediation tracking, and continuous monitoring activities.
• Provide technical guidance on security controls and assist in audit readiness reviews.

Required Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship with eligibility for a Public Trust or Suitability clearance.
• Experience in federal cybersecurity processes, especially ATO lifecycle and eMASS.
• Strong knowledge of NIST SP 800‑53, RMF, and DoD security frameworks.
• Proficiency in drafting SSPs, POA&Ms, and IRPs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Security certifications such as CISSP, Security+, or CEH.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and eVA systems.
• Familiarity with automated compliance tools and scripting.

Compensation

Salary: $74,937.02 per year.
