RES eVA Cyber Security Associate (Remote)

Job Summary

The RES eVA Cyber Security Associate (Remote) role at GovCIO supports the eVA Authority to Operation (ATO) process for a federal client. This fully remote position is open to candidates located anywhere in the United States.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain components of ATO documentation, including System Security Plans (SSP) control narratives, Risk Assessment inputs, Incident Response Plans (IRP), and Information System Contingency Plans (ISCP).
• Update and manage eMASS data daily, ensuring accurate POA&M entries, control evidence uploads, and configuration management artifacts.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather security requirements, perform gap analyses, and recommend remediation actions.
• Assist in preparing audit evidence, responding to reviewer comments, and tracking corrective actions to closure.
• Provide subject‑matter expertise on federal security frameworks such as NIST SP 800‑53, RMF, and DoD STIGs.
• Participate in security briefings, status meetings, and continuous monitoring activities.

Qualifications & Requirements

• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in federal cybersecurity, risk management, or ATO support.
• Hands‑on experience with eMASS, RMF processes, and documentation of security controls.
• Familiarity with NIST, DoD, and other federal cybersecurity standards.
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment and manage multiple priorities.
