Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage detailed cost plans for bespoke residential builds and refurbishments.
• Conduct tender analysis, negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers, and secure best value.
• Monitor project budgets, forecast cash flow and report financial performance to senior management.
• Provide cost advice during design development and ensure alignment with client specifications.
• Carry out regular site visits to assess progress, manage variations and resolve any cost‑related issues.
• Maintain accurate records, produce monthly cost reports and support final account preparation.

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Quantity Surveyor (RICS or equivalent) with proven experience on high‑end residential projects.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage budgets of £2‑5 million.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Proficiency in industry software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, Excel).
• Ability to work on multiple 18‑24 month projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of UK construction regulations and best practice standards.
