About This Position
Sure Steel is seeking a detail‑oriented Quality Coordinator to join its steel fabrication and construction team in East Wenatchee, Douglas County, Washington. This role ensures project quality, compliance, and continuous improvement while supporting on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control plans for all fabrication and construction activities.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and non‑conformance investigations to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, codes, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve quality issues promptly.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including inspection reports, corrective action logs, and performance metrics.
- Monitor supplier and material certifications, ensuring traceability and adherence to project requirements.
- Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives, recommending process enhancements and training programs.
- Support safety programs by integrating quality and safety inspections.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in quality assurance or coordination within steel fabrication, construction, or manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, AWS standards, and local building codes.
- Proficiency with quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
