About This Position

Kimley-Horn is hiring a Project Accountant for its regional Project Accounting team in Grandview Heights, Franklin County, Ohio. This office‑based role supports multiple project disciplines from the Columbus office at 7965 North High Street, Suite 200.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly financial analysis and ensure accurate revenue recognition for assigned projects.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers across engineering, planning, and construction disciplines.
  • Meet multiple critical monthly reporting deadlines, including billings, cost tracking, and forecast updates.
  • Maintain compliance with company accounting policies and GAAP standards.
  • Prepare and review project budgets, change orders, and variance reports.
  • Support internal and external audits by supplying required documentation and explanations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in project accounting, preferably within engineering or construction firms.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills for interfacing with project teams and senior leadership.
