STARPLEX LIMITED t/a Woodland Consultancy Services is hiring a Power System Studies Electrical Engineer for an on‑shore contract in South East London, London. This 6‑12 month role offers a fixed salary of £51,207.25 and starts immediately.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform power system studies, including load flow, short‑circuit, stability and harmonic analysis for captive generation projects.
• Develop and review technical specifications, single‑line diagrams and protection settings.
• Coordinate with design, construction and operations teams to ensure compliance with grid codes and client requirements.
• Prepare detailed reports, presentation material and recommendations for optimisation of system performance.
• Support commissioning activities and provide on‑site technical assistance as needed.

Required Experience & Skills

• Proven experience in captive power generation, with or without grid connection.
• Strong knowledge of power system analysis software (e.g., ETAP, PSS®E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory).
• Understanding of UK grid codes, IEC standards and relevant industry regulations.
• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent professional qualification.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities, communication skills and the capacity to work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
