Job Summary
Froedtert Health is seeking a Phone Triage Registered Nurse (RN) for its Access Services team at the Woodland Prime 400 facility in Menomonee Falls, Waukesha County, WI. This remote‑enabled role requires the RN to live within one hour of the facility and work a rotating 30‑hour weekly schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer and triage inbound calls for the Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin After‑Hours Answering Service.
- Assess patient symptoms, provide evidence‑based guidance, and determine appropriate level of care.
- Document call details accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) and follow up as needed.
- Escalate urgent cases to on‑call physicians or emergency services per protocol.
- Educate callers on self‑care, medication adherence, and follow‑up appointments.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care after hours.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, state nursing regulations, and Froedtert Health policies.
Qualifications
- Current RN license in Wisconsin (or eligible for licensure).
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in acute care, emergency, or telehealth.
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical‑thinking skills.
- Proficiency with EHR systems and telephone triage software.
- Ability to work night shifts and weekends on a rotating schedule.
- Residence within one hour driving distance of Menomonee Falls, WI.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $124,770.34 annually (full‑time equivalent). The position includes a comprehensive benefits package with health, dental, vision, retirement, and paid holidays.
Work Schedule
30 hours per week on a rotating shift pattern:
- Week A: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday – 23:59 to 08:00
- Week B: Wednesday and Thursday – 22:00 to 08:00
- Additional holidays as assigned.
