Always Fresh Farms LLC is seeking a diligent Payroll Accountant to join its finance team in Plant City, Hillsborough County, FL. This on‑site role reports to the Chief Financial Officer and offers a competitive salary of $62,504 per year.

Key Responsibilities

• Process weekly and bi‑weekly payroll for full‑time, part‑time, and seasonal employees, ensuring accurate entry of hours, overtime, and shift differentials.
• Administer payroll deductions, garnishments, benefits contributions, and tax withholdings in compliance with federal and Florida state regulations.
• Maintain and reconcile payroll journals, general ledger accounts, and related expense reports.
• Prepare and file quarterly and annual payroll tax filings (e.g., Form 941, 940, W‑2s, 1099s).
• Generate payroll reports for management, including labor cost analysis, variance reporting, and audit support.
• Collaborate with HR to onboard new hires, update employee records, and process terminations.
• Assist the CFO with month‑end close activities, financial statement preparation, and ad‑hoc financial analysis.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase payroll efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of hands‑on payroll processing experience, preferably in an agricultural or manufacturing environment.
