Job Summary

The Patient Service Specialist at Select Medical in Milltown, Middlesex County, NJ provides front‑line support to patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors, manage check‑in/check‑out processes, and verify insurance information.
• Coordinate appointment scheduling, confirm referrals, and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA.
• Answer multi‑line phone systems, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate clinical staff.
• Assist with billing inquiries, collect co‑pays, and process payments.
• Provide information about Kessler Rehabilitation Center services, policies, and patient resources.
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and administrators to resolve patient concerns promptly.
• Maintain a clean and organized reception area and ensure all forms and signage are up‑to‑date.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree or related healthcare certification preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office.
• Previous experience in a medical office, hospital, or rehabilitation setting is a plus.
• Ability to work varied shifts between 7:00 am – 7:00 pm, Monday‑Friday.
