Operations Lead

GovCIO is seeking an Operations Lead to support the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) background investigation systems. This fully‑remote, Top Secret position is based in Chisolm, Montgomery County, US.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day operational support for core DCSA system applications.
• Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and security alerts.
• Coordinate incident response and root‑cause analysis with IT and security teams.
• Maintain documentation, SOPs, and compliance reports for Top Secret environments.
• Lead a small technical team, delegating tasks and ensuring service‑level agreements are met.
• Collaborate with DCSA customer agencies to resolve clearance‑related issues.

Required Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for SCI.
• 5+ years of IT operations experience, preferably in government or defense contracting.
• Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux servers, networking, and monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Splunk).
• Experience with background investigation or security clearance systems is a plus.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Experience

• ITIL or other IT service‑management certifications.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and automation scripting.
• Prior work with DCSA or other federal security agencies.
