Job Summary

The Operations Accountant role at UFP Industries, Inc is based in Cascade, Kent County, US. You will manage accounting and auditing functions for the company’s legal entities while supporting the broader Accounting team.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary accounting resource for individual legal entities, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries, including recurring and branch‑structured entries.
• Maintain and reconcile balance‑sheet accounts, coordinating with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.
• Perform month‑end and year‑end close activities, supporting accurate financial reporting.
• Assist with internal and external audits, providing documentation and explanations as needed.
• Collaborate with the Accounting team on daily tasks such as cash management, accounts payable/receivable, and financial analysis.
• Identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and accuracy of accounting operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 2‑3 years of experience in corporate accounting or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, journal entry preparation, and account reconciliation.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Annual salary: $101,308.60
