IT Consultant (Identity & Access / Active Directory)

AWD Online is seeking an IT Consultant specialised in Identity Access and Active Directory to join its growing consultancy team in Bristol, South West England. This full‑time role offers a £55,000 salary and the chance to work on enterprise migrations, cloud identity and digital transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement and optimise Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) solutions for mid‑size to large enterprises.
• Lead identity‑management migrations, including on‑premises to cloud transitions.
• Provide technical guidance on IT infrastructure, security policies and access control.
• Collaborate with client IT teams, project managers and developers to ensure seamless integration.
• Deliver documentation, training and post‑implementation support.
• Stay current with industry best practices, emerging technologies and compliance standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience with Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID and identity‑access management.
• Strong background in Windows Server, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and related infrastructure services.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and migration projects.
• Excellent problem‑solving ability and customer‑facing communication skills.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator or equivalent.
• Previous roles such as Systems Administrator, Infrastructure Engineer, Network Engineer, Technical Consultant or IT Support Engineer are a plus.
