Job Summary
Join CIMA+ as an Intermediate/Senior Environmental Planner in Mississauga, Peel region. Work with a dynamic Earth and Environment team that embeds sustainability into every project for public and private sector clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate environmental planning studies, impact assessments, and mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and certified technicians to deliver integrated, green solutions.
- Prepare high‑quality reports, technical memoranda, and regulatory submissions for municipal, provincial and federal agencies.
- Conduct field investigations, data collection, and site assessments to inform planning recommendations.
- Provide expert advice on environmental, social and economic implications of development projects.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to business development and client relationship management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Planning, Geography, Urban Planning or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 3+ years of progressive experience in environmental planning or consulting.
- Strong knowledge of Ontario environmental legislation (e.g., ESA, O. Reg. 419/05).
- Proficiency with GIS, AutoCAD, and environmental modeling software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional planning designation (e.g., P.Eng, PMP) is an asset.
