About This Position
Actalent is seeking a Licensed Interior Designer to join its Washington, D.C., US office. This role will lead the design, coordination, and documentation of interior environments for multifamily, commercial, and institutional projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop design concepts and produce detailed interior design documentation from schematic design through construction administration.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure design intent is maintained throughout all project phases.
- Prepare space plans, material specifications, finish schedules, furniture layouts, and lighting designs.
- Conduct site visits, perform design reviews, and resolve design‑related issues on‑site.
- Maintain compliance with local codes, accessibility standards, and sustainability guidelines.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting schedule and budget targets.
Qualifications
- Valid interior design license (or eligibility) in the District of Columbia.
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience designing multifamily, commercial, or institutional interiors.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong visual presentation skills and ability to communicate design ideas effectively.
- Excellent problem‑solving, organization, and teamwork abilities.
