Key Responsibilities
- Travel to customer locations and perform mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance, and diagnostics on forklifts and related equipment.
- Diagnose faults, replace or rebuild components, and test equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate service reports, parts usage logs, and update work orders in the company’s system.
- Provide clear, professional communication with customers regarding service findings, recommended repairs, and safety best practices.
- Support the branch shop by assisting with larger repairs, parts inventory management, and tool upkeep.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and environmental standards while on the road and in the shop.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Recent graduate of a technical or trade school with a focus on automotive, diesel, or material‑handling equipment technology.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; ability to travel within the Milwaukee service area.
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems used in forklifts.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and a customer‑service mindset.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lb and work in various shop or field environments.
- Certification (e.g., OSHA 10, forklift operator) is a plus but not required.
Compensation & Benefits
Annual salary: $28,495.31 (fixed). Company provides benefits package including health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for ongoing training and certification.
