Field Service Technician | Information Technology

Job Summary

CBIZ | Network Solutions is seeking a Field Service Technician in Paducah, McCracken County, US. You will provide on‑site IT support for Edward Jones branch offices, vendor locations, and home financial advisor sites, ensuring reliable network connectivity and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, upgrade, and maintain primary and backup network connections for assigned branches.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and repair network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Set up and service end‑user devices including desktops, laptops, printers, VoIP phones, and related cabling.
• Perform IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) tasks and respond to service tickets within SLA targets.
• Document site configurations, changes, and inventory in ticketing systems.
• Collaborate with remote support teams and vendors to resolve complex issues.
• Assist with small‑scale projects such as site relocations, equipment refresh cycles, and security upgrades.
• Provide on‑site training and technical guidance to branch staff as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• 2+ years of field‑service or help‑desk experience supporting Windows and network environments.
• Proficiency with Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking equipment.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and Wi‑Fi standards.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the assigned territory.

Preferred Skills

• CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA certification.
• Experience with VoIP/UC solutions (e.g., Cisco Unified Communications).
• Familiarity with remote monitoring tools and ticketing platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, ConnectWise).

Compensation & Benefits
