Epic Systems Analyst – Ambulatory
About This Position
Highmark Health is seeking an Epic Systems Analyst – Ambulatory to join its team in Douglas, Juneau, US. This role will configure, roll out, and support Epic Ambulatory applications while working directly with end‑users.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, design, build, test, implement and provide ongoing support for Epic Ambulatory software.
- Conduct business and systems analysis to capture functional requirements.
- Create detailed documentation, including requirement specifications, workflow diagrams, and test scripts.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative users to troubleshoot issues and deliver effective solutions.
- Participate in system upgrades, data migrations, and post‑implementation validation.
- Provide training and user education to ensure optimal system utilization.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Nursing or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience configuring and supporting Epic Ambulatory modules.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate clinical workflows into system designs.
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with clinicians, IT staff, and leadership.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, HIPAA compliance, and best practices in electronic health records.
- Epic certification in Ambulatory (preferred but not mandatory).
Compensation & Benefits
